Homecoming 2026

Hello, all, 

Homecoming Week is September 8-11, 2026.  The themes for Spirit Week are:

Monday – Labor Day/No School
Tuesday – Hat Day
Wednesday- Jersey Day
Thursday – Neon Cowboy
Friday – Purple and White

The Homecoming football game will be at Central High on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 7:00 pm, against Northwest, in the stadium.

Homecoming Royal Court: Seniors! This year's homecoming court will again be ungendered.  We will have 2 gender-neutral Royals representing our 2026 Homecoming, meaning the Homecoming Royals can be any combination of gender identities.  Homecoming Royalty Candidate Application Forms are available on the CHS Seniors-Class of 2027 Team.  There are also printed copies available in the Main Office 137. If you want to be a Homecoming Royal, fill out an application. Applications are due on Wednesday, September 2, at 3:05 pm to Ms. Dierks. Seniors must be involved in a club/activity/athletic program to maintain good academic behavior and attendance standing. The Royal Court will be announced on Thursday, September 3. The Royal Court will be able to hang campaign posters in the courtyard from September 8-11.  Seniors will only vote for the 2026 Royals on September 8-11. Directions for voting will be posted in the CHS Seniors-Class of 2027 Team.

Guest Forms: Students not attending Central may attend the homecoming dance on Saturday, September 12, if they submit a guest form before the deadline and get approved. The guest student’s administrator must submit a guest form to Ms. Dierks. For example, if your guest attends Burke High, then the administrator from Burke High must submit the form to Ms. Dierks. No forms will be accepted from a student.  The forms become available on August 24 and must be submitted to Ms. Dierks by noon on Friday, September 4. Guest forms are available in the CHS Community and Announcements Team and the Main Office.  The Central student must purchase a ticket for their outside guest.  Tickets will not be sold at the door.

Ticket Sales: Tickets will be sold from Tuesday, September 8 to Friday, September 11. September 8, 9, 10, and 11, tickets can be purchased in the school store from 7:15 a.m. to 7:35 a.m. and during the lunch periods. Ticket sales will end promptly at 12:38 p.m. on Friday, September 11, or when tickets sell out. There will be NO tickets sold after 12:38 p.m. on September 11.  No exceptions. The ticket price is $15.00. Please bring cash or a card. No checks. Apple Pay and other digital wallet apps are accepted. However, please note that you will be charged a $0.70 fee per ticket when using a card. Tickets may NOT be purchased and resold. Tickets will not be sold at the door. Semi-formal clothing is required.

To purchase a ticket, you must be a student in good standing and adhere to the Eagle ABCs—Academics, Behavior, and Community. If you have a suspension or demonstrate a pattern of inconsistent attendance, you will not be allowed to purchase a ticket. Please see your administrator for additional details.

Dance: Saturday, September 12, is the Homecoming Dance from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. in the CHS gym.  The theme is Neon Rodeo. Only shoes with appropriate soles are permitted on the gym floor. Shoes with heels that could dimple the gym floor are not allowed. If you show up to the dance wearing heels, you will be asked to leave and return wearing shoes with appropriate soles. Do not bring any valuables to the dance.  CHS is not responsible for any lost or stolen items. Shoes with heels, purses, cameras, and other valuables will not be held for students at the dance.
